- This memo defines a portion of the Management Information Base (MIB)
- for use with network management protocols in TCP/IP based internets.
- In particular it defines objects for managing MAC bridges based on the
- IEEE 802.1D-1990 standard between Local Area Network (LAN) segments.
- Provisions are made for support of transparent bridging. Provisions
- are also made so that these objects apply to bridges connected by
- subnetworks other than LAN segments. This document is the product of
- the Bridge MIB Working Group of the IETF.
-
- This is now a Draft Standard Protocol.
-
- This RFC specifies an IAB standards track protocol for the Internet
- community, and requests discussion and suggestions for improvements.
- Please refer to the current edition of the "IAB Official Protocol
- Standards" for the standardization state and status of this protocol.
- Distribution of this memo is unlimited.
-
- This announcement is sent to the IETF list and the RFC-DIST list.
